Octree, Chunks & Target Face Num
Octree resolution controls how finely reconstruction space is divided — higher values usually mean sharper surface detail. Number of chunks splits the reconstruction workload. Target face num sets final mesh density: more faces for heavier, detailed models; fewer faces for lighter real-time assets. Defaults work well for most objects; raise faces when you need print-ready detail, lower them for game engines.
Better Capture for Multi-View Meshes
Use a plain backdrop and rotate the object (or the camera) around it. Avoid mixing a phone flash on one side and window light on another. Crop consistently so the object occupies a similar portion of each frame. Blurry or heavily compressed shots weaken the fused mesh. Matte, opaque subjects reconstruct more reliably than glass or mirror finishes.
